The Via RecreActiva is a weekly event that takes place every Sunday.  More than 21Km of public streets in Guadalajara are closed to motorized traffic and the Tapatíos (residents of Guadalajara) take to the streets on bicycles, roller blades, unicycles, stilts, skateboards or just their own two feet.  There are literally thousands of people that participate each weekend.  The city will even loan you a bike for free if you do not have one.  There are also all kinds of other activities that take place as well.  The operations center is one block from Casa Rayón in the Revolution Park.  Come and enjoy a leisurely Sunday!
